Program Educational Goals:
- Exemplify a professional-level ability to use research to select inclusive curriculum, assessments and pedagogical approaches that promote and encourage diversity in all its forms and support the growth of all their students.
- Demonstrate advanced content and pedagogical knowledge in their STEM content areas and apply that knowledge in their practices.
- Create and write-up a professional-level curriculum or research project, with guidance and support, that will contribute to their field of practice.
Requirements for the Degree:
Master of Science (M.S.) in Secondary STEM Education, with institutional recommendation for initial secondary teacher certification in a STEM field (grades 7-12 in agriscience, biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated science, physics, physical science, mathematics, or technology education. Any combination of two 600 level or above courses in education (EDU) or in a content discipline. (8)
