Nutrition and Dietetics (MS) with Dietetics Internship (DI)

Program Educational Goals:


Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:

  1. Integrate scientific information and evaluate emerging research for application in nutrition and dietetics practice.
  2. Demonstrate the strong critical thinking and communication skills, professional integrity, ethical behavior, and cultural humility required for effective practice as a member of interprofessional teams.
  3. Develop and deliver information, products and services to individuals, groups, and populations.
  4. Strategically apply management principles in the provision of nutrition services to individuals and organizations.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to synthesize the nutrition literature to form evidence-based conclusions.
  6. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of applied human nutrition.

Requirements for the Degree:


The MS/DI program requires completion of a minimum of 39 credits, including coursework, evidence based project (field) work, successful completion of a comprehensive examination, and Dietetic Internship rotations. The program is designed to be completed in 2 years.

Nutrition and Dietetics (MS) Core


27 credits

Nutrition and Dietetics Elective:


One three credit NTDT Elective.

Statistics Elective:


One three credit Statistics course.

Free Elective:


One three credit Graduate level course.

Dietetics Internship (DI) Core:


12 credits.

Note:


*All courses are standard grading option except: NTDT 648 NTDT 649  and NTDT 665 , which are graded Pass/Fail.
