Requirements for Certificate
The graduate Certificate in Women and Gender Studies requires 9 credits and 1 non-credit degree milestone. Students must earn a grade of B or higher in order for the credits to count toward the certificate. The course requirements include the following:
WGS non-credit Degree Milestone
- WGS non-credit Degree Milestone - An extended piece of scholarly writing, such as: a conference paper; dissertation proposal; grant proposal; publishable article; thesis chapter. This Milestone will include participation (for at least one semester) with graduate certificate peers in a collaborative writing group facilitated by the graduate coordinator. This writing group will prioritize peer feedback on drafts of their scholarly writing project and train students in facilitating feminist collaborative processes of knowledge production.
