- Six credits of courses related to a region of the world consistent with the student’s language of choice, selected from the following:
- Anthropology, Art History, Geography, History, Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Philosophy, and Political Science and International Relations
- Seven credits of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology (CISC, MATH, and STAT courses do not apply)
- Includes one associated laboratory credit.
- Fifteen credits of Advanced Language Studies
- Nine credits of 200-level and above and six credits of 300-level and above selected from the following eight languages:
- Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, or Spanish
- It is recommended that one of these be a business language course, depending upon the language of choice.
- All International Business Studies majors must complete a fall or spring semester abroad studying in a region of the world consistent with their language of choice.

Minimum grade C- required. Note:
* Offered in the curriculum of a Winter or Summer Study Abroad program. The IBS Major may select one course (3 credit) from those with this designation.
