College Requirements:
College of Arts and Sciences Breadth Requirements:
The College Breadth Requirements are taken in addition to the University Breadth Requirement. Up to three credits from each of the University Breadth Requirement categories may be used to simultaneously satisfy these College of Arts and Sciences Breadth Requirements. College Breadth courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-.
A total of 31 total credits distributed as follows, are required (essentially 19 credits in addition to the University Breadth Requirement):
Three credits may be used to satisfy the University Multicultural Requirement (recommended for timely progress toward degree completion.)
Foreign Language:
There is no major-wide foreign language requirement. The EES and EST concentrations include the opportunity to count up to eight credits of foreign language instruction to fulfill the concentration requirement.
Mathematics:
MATH 114 is required for the EEP and EES concentrations and MATH 241 is required for the EST concentration
Second Writing Requirement:
A Second Writing Requirement approved by the College of Arts and Sciences. This course must be taken after completion of 60 credit hours, completed with a minimum grade of C-, and the section enrolled must be designated as satisfying the requirement in the academic term completed. Several ENEP courses fulfill this requirement.
Energy & Environmental Policy Major Requirements:
Students must obtain a minimum grade of “C-“ Internship and Senior Research Paper:
6 credits
Concentration Requirements:
Students must obtain a minimum grade of “C-” in these courses
Advanced Course Requirements (ACR):
Advanced Course Electives (ACE):
Choose 12 credits from the ACE course list below. ACR courses not used to satisfy an ACR requirement may be substitutued for ACE courses. Additonal courses can be approved with the consent the ENEP Program Chair or their designee.
Electives:
After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree.
