Microbiology (PhD)

Program Requirements:

Students are expected to complete 27 credit hours of course-work, 6 hours credit hours of research and 9 hours of thesis research (total of 42 hours) within two years.

Core:

• BISC 850 - Advanced Topics in Biology (1cr.)
• MAST 625 - Microbial Physiology and Diversity (3cr.)
• MAST 626 - Microbial Molecular Genetics (3cr.)

Electives:

Fifteen credits from the following four Areas of Study:

Research and Thesis:

Six hours of approved research credit and nine hours of approved thesis credit
