Requirements for the Degree


30 credits are required


as follows:

6 graduate credits in EDUC (EDUC 601  OR EDUC 740 , AND EDUC 622 ), OR, for 4+1 ECE participants, in HDFS (HDFS 606  AND HDFS 621 ); plus 18 credits in SPAN (SPAN 601 , SPAN 675 , SPAN 665 , SPAN 668 , and two 3-credit graduate courses in Spanish/Latin American language and culture taken on an approved study abroad program), and 6 credits in Pedagogy (LLCU 626  AND LLCU 629 ).

Non-course degree requirements


Candidates must pass an oral proficiency test at the end of the program, and submit a Teaching Portfolio.
