Civil Engineering Minor

Minor Requirements:


A grade of C- or better is required in all of the courses completed for the minor. Before beginning the civil engineering courses, the student must meet the required mathematics, physics, and other prerequisites for each course.

Other Requirements:


Nine additional credits (three courses) in civil engineering from the approved minor course list must be taken of which at least six credits must be at the 300-level or higher. Courses should be selected in consultation with an advisor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. CIEG 161, CIEG 411, and CIEG 481 may not be counted toward the minor. CIEG 331 and CIEG 438 cannot both be used toward the minor. CIEG 367 and CIEG 467 can only be used toward the minor if approved by the Civil Engineering undergraduate committee.
