Islamic Studies Minor

All Islamic Studies minors must complete a total of 18 credits from: Group I, Group II, and Group III, plus one elective course at the 300-level or above from Groups II or III as described below:

Minor Requirements:

GROUP I - Foundation Course in Islamic Studies:

One of the following (it is strongly advised that students begin the minor with one of these courses):

GROUP II - Arts and Literature:

Two of the following (one must be taken at the 300-level or above):

GROUP III - Social Sciences and History:

Two of the following (one must be taken at the 300-level or above):

Elective:

Additional course at the 300-level or above from Group II or III.

Certain other courses may count for Group II and Group III credits only when they have Islamic content and only when they are approved by the Islamic Studies Advisory Board.

Prior to each semester’s registration, any approved courses offered from the list below and any additional or experimental courses (267, 367) with Islamic content to be offered in the subsequent semester will appear on the Islamic Studies Program’s website: http://www.cas.udel.edu/cgas/islamic-studies/.
