Credit(s): 3
ADV MUSCULOSKELETAL BIOMECH
Component: Lecture
This course examines current topics in biomechanics research including musculoskeletal modeling, muscle physiology, anthropometric analysis, biomedical imaging techniques, neural control of movement, and/or clinical biomechanics. Students will be immersed in the current literature through discussions, presentations, and papers with an aim to make them fluent with the state-of-the-art issues in this field. We will build and analyze computer models to gain insight into movement biomechanics and control. The materials covered in this course may be of interest to engineers, physical therapists, and biomedical researchers looking to apply their technical skills to solving clinical problems.
