ANTH 605 - Environment and Human Health Credit(s): 3 ENVIRONMENT AND HUMAN HEALTH Component: Lecture Environmental and human health are intimately connected. Human activities impact the environment, which in turn impacts human health. Through case studies and critical thinking activities, as well as reading and research, students will learn fundamentals of climate change and the impact on human health, examine the relationship between air and water quality and health, and study environmental influences on infectious and chronic disease. The course will explore climate change, pollution, sustainability, microbiome, One Health and emerging trends in how humans impact the environment, and how the environment in turn impacts human health.
