FUNDAMENTALS OF OPTIMIZATION

Constrained and unconstrained optimization of functions of finitely many variables. Basic problem types and examples of applications; linear and nonlinear programming. Optimality conditions. Convexity, saddle points and dual problems. Penalty methods. Includes computational approaches.
