UAPP 822 - Public Policy TheoryCredit(s): 3 PUBLIC POLICY THEORY Component: Lecture This course provides students with an overview of the history and evolution of public policy theoretical approaches including why and how policy is developed, applied, and evaluated. The course focuses on the key debates and questions in the field of public policy. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the theoretical approaches including their assumptions, strengths, and limitations. The course also includes an introduction to the application of public policy theories and research methods used in empirical research. Students are expected to engage in analytical and critical assessment of this foundational content.
