MATH 617 - Techniques of Applied MathematicsCredit(s): 3 TECHNIQUES OF APPLIED MATH Component: Lecture Introduction to techniques used in solving problems arising in a variety of physical settings. Sturm-Liouville problems and Green’s functions. Methods of solution for the wave, heat and Laplace equations. Variational principles. Repeatable for Credit: N Allowed Units: 3 Multiple Term Enrollment: N Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: One semester of advanced calculus.
