GLOBAL MUSIC STUDIES

Explores musical materials and phenomena from around the world to cultivate cross-cultural perspectives and global thinking in music. Listening and discussing various case studies- including Kazakh Epic performance, Native American rock, and Pakistani Qawwali spiritual music-students will be introduced to new musical languages and their sonic and sensory contexts.
