FASH 215 - Fundamentals of Textiles I Credit(s): 3 FUNDAMENTALS OF TEXTILES I Component: Lecture Science principles are the basis for understanding fibers. Relationships between the chemical and physical characteristics of fibers and properties such as tensile strength, flammability, elasticity, moisture absorption, dye affinity, and recyclability are explored. Understanding science principles in relation to textile properties provides basis for evaluation of textile products.
