CSCD 615 - Cultural Humility in Clinical PracticeCredit(s): 2 CULTURAL HUMILITY Component: Lecture The content of this course explores how both micro- and macro-cultures influence attitudes, behavioral norms, communication, policies, and clinical practice. Students will identify and examine their own cultural norms, beliefs, and practices; discuss historic and current racism, ableism, ageism, genderism, and other forms of discriminiation along with related biases and microaggressions; discuss disparities in service access and delivery; and investigate varying approaches to advocacy and culturally responsive clinical practice.
