ENERGY TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY

Basic principles of physics are applied to discuss forms of energy (mechanical, thermal, chemical, electrical and nuclear), and how energy is derived from sources such as coal, petroleum, solar, and nuclear fission and fusion. Environmental consequences of energy use are treated.
