FASH 423 - Introduction to Knitwear and Stretch Fabric Design Credit(s): 3 KNITWEAR AND STRETCH DESIGN Component: Lecture This course introduces students to the special characteristics inherent in working with fine gauge knits and stretch-woven fabrications. Exploring a combination of draping, fitting, sloper developing, and patternmaking techniques, students create samples and garments using specialized machinery. Using their understanding of stretch fundamentals, they design and execute original stretch designs.
