NURS 438 - Leadership in Professional Nursing Practice Credit(s): 3 LEADERSHIP IN NURSING PRACTICE Component: Lecture Introduces concepts of leadership and management for entry-level professional nursing practice. Explore and analyze fundamental strategies to improve organizational culture and change, quality and safety of care, patient satisfaction, inter-professional dialogue, and budgetary resource issues. Examines the influence of legislative, regulatory, and risk management policies in shaping the practice environment. Incorporates experiential learning during concurrent practica.
