SPAN 203 - Spanish for Heritage Speakers Credit(s): 3 SPANISH FOR HERITAGE SPEAKERS Component: Lecture For native and heritage speakers of Spanish with oral proficiency but little or no formal training in the language. Designed to build on the language base students already possess, the course’s primary purpose is to develop reading and writing skills. Repeatable for Credit: N Allowed Units: 3 Multiple Term Enrollment: N Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: SPAN 107 or more than 4 years in high school, AP credit or exemption exam. RESTRICTIONS: Must be a heritage or native speaker of Spanish. SPAN203 exempts students from taking SPAN 200 , SPAN 205 , SPAN 300 , and SPAN 305 . General Education Objectives:
