MEEG 216 - Solid Mechanics Lab Credit(s): 1 SOLID MECHANICS LAB Component: Laboratory Mechanics of Solids Laboratory serves to reinforce the theory discussed in Mechanics of Solids lecture through experimental means. The topics studied include: 1) modern measurements and instrument calibration; 2) failure in uniaxial tension; 3) tensile deformation; 4) deformation of composite materials; 5) cantilevered and 3-point beam bending; 6) torsion. The students will learn and reinforce professional skills related to the analysis and communication of technical information.
