The course analyzes a variety of important economic policies affecting the macro economy. Topics may change from semester to semester. Past topics included assessing policies for: (1) preventing and combating recessions; (2) dealing with international trade, offshoring of jobs, and immigration; (3) reducing global warming; (4) reducing gender disparities in the economy; (5) comparing your generation’s standard of living with your parents’ generation; (6) reducing inequality.
