MUSC 211 - Music, History, and Ideas Credit(s): 3 MUSIC, HISTORY, AND IDEAS Component: Discussion Examines methods, materials, and interdisciplinary approaches used in the study of music through the discussion and analysis of a broad repertoire of works that spans historical eras, styles, and global cultures. Class is organized around broad historical topics (historiography, performance practice, notation, authorship, etc.).
