KAAP 613 - Sports Medicine PharmacologyCredit(s): 3 SPORTS MEDICINE PHARMACOLOGY Component: Lecture Provides graduate athletic training students with an understanding of the origin, chemistry, effects and uses of medications commonly used in sports medicine. Major topics include pharmacokinetics, indications, contraindications, adverse reactions, and management of overdose, phonophoresis, iontophoresis, and drugs affecting skeletal muscle, pain and inflammation.
