PRACTICUM IN SCHOOL PSYCH I
Component: Practicum
Provides closely supervised practicum experiences in a school setting (two days weekly) during first year in the school psychology program. This is one of three required practica. Focus is on the practice of cognitive, academic, social-emotional and behavioral assessment skills that are taught in prerequisite courses taken during the first year in the program, with an emphasis on learning to integrate and communicate assessment results to teachers, parents, and others. Students also begin to practice consultation and intervention skills in a school setting.
