FOOD SAFETY FROM FARM TO FORK
Component: Lecture
Examines safety issues in major food production systems in plants and animals (dairy, beef, swine, poultry, seafood). Study of government regulation, the use of antimicrobials and pesticide residues. Explores the consumer’s perception of biotechnology, organic farming, and post-harvest handling of agricultural commodities.
