  3. First-Year Freshman EGU Exemption: Please note that the Restricted Major policies for the majors listed below do NOT apply to first-year freshmen Engineering Undecided (EGU) students. The Engineering Common First Semester is designed to allow Engineering Undecided (EGU) students to learn about the various College of Engineering majors offered at UD and then request a Change of Major effective in their freshman spring semester. At any point between the Change of Registration deadline (the end of the eighth week of classes) and November 15 each year, first-year freshmen EGU students will be able to request a Change of Major. All first-year freshmen EGU students who meet this deadline will be allowed access to the requested major based upon their performance relative to the first-year freshmen EGU Change of Major applicant pool and the physical capacity limitations as determined by the department.
