CHEM 636 - Chemical Biology and Bioorganic Chemistry (3cr.) Credit(s): 3 CHEMICAL BIOLOGY/BIOORG CHEM. Component: Lecture Application of the concepts and tools of organic chemistry, including molecular design, kinetics and thermodynamics, to problems in biology. Allowed Units: 3 Grading Basis: Student Option PREREQ: CHEM322 or CHEM332. CHEM 527 or CHEM 641 strongly recommended. RESTRICTIONS: In the absence of BIOC coursework, students should have a working knowledge of amino acids and primary, secondary, and tertiary protein structure.
