Introduction to literary productions by African, Caribbean and Asian immigrants in France. Acquire a understanding of relevant strands of current theoretical thinkingthrough close analysis of texts. Examine recurrent themes and forms in immigrant literature, including: representation of identity; concepts of origins; intersection of race, class and gender; and textual strategies underpinning these considerations. Examine different ways these authors are redefining French literature.
